Stowspace's AI features are optional. Stowspace does not send an item to an AI provider until you enable AI consent and start a summary, key-points, or tag-suggestion action.
In this policy, an upload includes content you save through an app or browser extension, sync to your account, attach to a support report, or send to hosted AI.
What an AI action sends
A summary sends the current item's title, source URL when present, and text. Key points send the title and source URL together with either your highlights and their notes or the item's text. Tag suggestions send the title, source URL, part of the item's text, and the tag and collection names needed to make a useful suggestion.
Stowspace sends the current item's relevant content, not your whole library. Long text may be shortened before a key-points or tag request.
Where the request goes
The Stowspace API sends the request through OpenRouter to the model provider selected for that action. Each request tells OpenRouter to use only providers that it marks as not collecting user data. Stowspace does not use saved content to train models.
Stowspace keeps metering records such as the action, item identifier, model, token counts, provider cost, credits used, provider request identifier, and whether the request succeeded. These metering records do not contain the item's text. See the Privacy Policy and Subprocessors page for more about data handling and providers.
Your content and permissions
You keep your rights in content you create. You must have the right to save, upload, sync, or send any other material to AI. Stowspace's ability to capture or process material does not give you permission from its owner.
Do not submit illegal material, malware, content that violates another person's rights, or anything prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy.
Sensitive data
Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, payment card details, government identifiers, or other secrets to hosted AI. Avoid health, financial, biometric, precise location, children's, or other regulated personal data unless you have the required authority, safeguards, and a clear reason to process it.
If an item contains confidential or third-party information, make sure you are allowed to send it to the providers listed in this policy before starting an AI action.
Review AI output
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review summaries, key points, and tag suggestions before relying on or sharing them. Do not use an AI output as professional advice or as the only basis for a legal, medical, financial, safety, or other high-stakes decision.
