This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to the Stowspace apps, browser extension, website, accounts, sync, cloud archive, APIs, and hosted AI features.
Scope
You may use Stowspace for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You are responsible for your account, devices, saved material, instructions, and the actions you start.
Content and access
You must not use Stowspace to:
- break the law or help someone else break it;
- violate copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contract, database, or other rights;
- capture, upload, sync, archive, or process material you are not allowed to access or use;
- store or distribute malware, harmful code, illegal material, or content intended to facilitate abuse;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person; or
- impersonate someone or misrepresent your affiliation.
The ability to capture a page, selection, transcript, or file does not give you rights to it. You must respect access restrictions and third-party terms.
Security and service integrity
You must not:
- probe, scan, test, or exploit a vulnerability without prior written permission;
- access another user's account, cloud data, session, or connected device;
- bypass authentication, payment, entitlement, metering, rate limits, or other technical controls;
- disrupt, overload, degrade, or interfere with Stowspace or a provider used to run it;
- reverse engineer a protected part of the service unless the law gives you a right that cannot be waived; or
- use the service for unsolicited bulk messages.
Automation and usage limits
Do not automate capture, sync, download, account creation, checkout, or AI actions in a way that defeats product limits, creates unreasonable load, or resembles scraping or a denial-of-service attack. You may automate a feature only through its documented interface and within its limits.
Hosted AI
Do not use hosted AI for unlawful, harmful, deceptive content or to bypass safeguards. Do not submit secrets, regulated data, or sensitive personal data unless you have the authority and a proper reason to send it to the listed AI providers. Review AI output before relying on or sharing it. The AI & Upload Policy explains what an AI request sends.
Enforcement
Stowspace may investigate suspected violations. It may rate-limit, restrict, suspend, or terminate connected services to protect users, providers, or the service, comply with law, address non-payment, or enforce this policy. An urgent security or safety risk may require immediate action.
When practical, Stowspace will explain the reason and give you a chance to correct the issue. Enforcement of connected services does not give Stowspace access to a local library that was never synced.
Report a concern
Report abuse or a security concern to [email protected] with enough detail to investigate. Do not include passwords, authentication tokens, or unrelated personal data.
